This document outlines the commitment of RND Culture to digital inclusion. We believe that creative ideas and multidisciplinary research should be accessible to all voices in our community. The following statement details our current accessibility status, the technical standards we uphold, and the specific measures we have taken to ensure our digital presence is welcoming and usable for everyone, regardless of ability or technology.
Commitment to Inclusion
Updated on May 24, 2024. RND Culture is dedicated to ensuring that our digital home is inclusive. We actively work to maintain a website that provides equal access to our creative resources, research, and collaborative platforms for all visitors, including those with disabilities who navigate the web using assistive tools.
Defining Web Accessibility
Web accessibility means creating digital environments that everyone can navigate, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities. This practice ensures that people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, or high-contrast displays can engage with our content seamlessly. At RND Culture, we view accessibility as a creative practice that allows our collective ideas and strategic insights to reach a wider, more diverse audience.
Digital Optimization and Standards
We have optimized this site following WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines to ensure high standards of usability. Our team has implemented several key enhancements: we have finalized a logical content hierarchy and heading structure across all pages, assigned descriptive alternative text to visual elements, and carefully curated color palettes to exceed contrast requirements. Additionally, we have verified that all navigation is keyboard-friendly and that the site language is correctly defined for seamless processing by modern screen readers.
Statement on External Content
As a collaborative multidisciplinary space, RND Culture often shares resources and media from our creative partners. Because we do not directly control the technical infrastructure of these third-party tools or external platforms, there may be instances where certain curated sections do not fully meet the highest accessibility criteria. We remain in constant dialogue with our collaborators to advocate for fully inclusive digital practices.
Our Physical Space Access
RND Culture operates a multidisciplinary studio designed for collaboration. Our facility features level-access entryways for mobility devices and wide corridors to ensure smooth movement throughout our collaborative zones. We provide accessible restrooms on the main floor and offer flexible seating arrangements in our workshop spaces to accommodate various physical needs. We also provide clear signage throughout the premises and carry out our workshops in well-lit environments to support visitors with low vision.
